3 Things
November 22, 2008
Last night Will came home at 9pm smelling of alcohol. He wanted a rubber band. Marc and I searched around and couldn't find a rubber band. Will started saying stuff, and I sent Marc over to [the neighbor's] house to see if she had a rubber band. Fortunately, she did.
At one point, Will stormed into the office and said, "I TOLD you this DOG isn't ALLOWed in the HOUSE!" He then chased Tilly around the table and locked her out. I ignored him, but I didn't want to. I wanted to tell him to grow up - we had agreed the dog could come into this room.
Marc brought the rubber band home, Will fixed his remote with it, then said, "I KNOW there's some DINner around here SOMEwhere." I said that the boys made their own dinner and that I hadn't eaten yet; "There's some gypsy stew in the fridge."
Will said, "This is ridiculous." And started fixing his plate for the microwave. I walked through the kitchen and he muttered, "Selfish." I was on the phone with Denise . She heard him and said, "Who's selfish?" I said, "I am because I didn't fix his plate."
While eating, he said to Eddie, "So I guess you know from last night that I don't want you in my bed." Eddie didn't say anything loud enough for me to hear. (Will had hit Eddie on the arm and yelled at him to go get in his "own damn bed" the night before.)
After eating, Will was rather peaceful because he passed out on the couch.
[next morning]
He came into the house as I was writing this. He didn't say anything to me, and I didn't say anything to him. However, he did say, "Ass!" followed by, "That figures," and a growl that didn't sound like anything.
He wasn't talking to me directly, so why is my heart pounding?
